As I turn around I see the I
Staring back at me it was always mine
I can’t look away anymore
There’s more in store for me
I can’t pretend to live without my mind
As human as I find
Here and now I see what’s wrong
I need to listen to my self I’ve ignored so long
Though I long to see the world out there
It all seems so unfair
How can I move on to the road ahead
With the world messing with my head?
In a world that’s filled with lies
I find solace in the skies
Help me find the I
And this phase will come to pass
And you’ll turn around and laugh
And your eye’s will find the truth
And the world will follow too
Now I realize I’m in control
I don’t need to do what i’m told
As my destiny is all my own
But I won’t be alone
I will go on and chase the dreams of mine
I will chase them to the sky
In a world that’s filled with lies
I find solace in the skies
Help me find the I
And the I watches over all
It exists within all human kind
It is how we see our selves and the world
We can change it if we reach beyond our minds
